New Special Event at The Hotel Bel Air — Save Your Spot!
Exclusive In-Person Children’s Half Day Event
A recent UK study revealed that children have lost basic skills such as how to eat with a fork and knife since the start of the pandemic. It’s no surprise that these and other vital attributes – including how to make simple conversation and socialize with others – have suffered.
To help our youth revitalize some of these lost norms, we are delighted to offer this special half-day program to ensure they maintain success and thrive. During the day, they will participate in a number of interactive exercises and activities to test their skills. The longer format will provide plenty of opportunity for practice and application. This class comes just in time to give our children an extra boost of confidence as they prepare to begin a new school year. Real-life examples and interactive exercises are part of the 4-hour program plus a multi-course luncheon catered by Wolfgang Puck to spruce up their dining skills and table manners.
In this workshop, here’s a taste of what your children will learn:
- Laying the Foundation – From The Golden Rules to The Magic Words
- Presentation Matters – Why posture, grooming & clothing makes a difference
- Smooth Introductions – Gracious greetings – traditional forms & pandemic-era protocols
- Communication Styles – How to speak, listen, write a note & type to text the right way
- Dining with Decorum – From the most casual situation to the most formal setting

Social Intelligence Right from the Start
Lisa’s programs provide kids and teens with the social intelligence to feel comfortable and confident in every situation. By acquiring and practicing these indispensable life tools, students learn to tune in — experiencing improved awareness of themselves and their surroundings, strengthening relationships with family and peers, and increasing their self‑esteem both at home and at school.”

“The students I spoke with couldn’t stop talking about how much they enjoyed the evening and how much they enjoyed having a professional like you come to campus to share your knowledge. Phenomenal as always!”
“A modern take on old fashioned manners. Lisa’s approach is youthful and evolved, yet still produces results that would gain the stamp of approval from grandparents. Her lovely sense of humor makes things fun and engaging, all while teaching traditional etiquette. We have participated in her ‘Manners Bootcamp,’ Cotillion program, Virtual Dining Etiquette dinners, and individual instruction to cultivate conversational skills. Our experience has been wonderful!”
“My daughter attended your ‘Standout Interviews’ class and really enjoyed it. She did a great job on her interviews in part, we believe, because of your class, and got accepted to Polytechnic, Marlborough, and Harvard-Westlake, where she will attend in the fall. Thank you again for your great class.”
“After a sleepover, the mother of my son’s friend was so impressed. She went on and on about what a gentleman our eight-year-old was. He sat up straight, used utensils like an adult, and said ‘please’ and ‘thank you‘ all the time. Thank you for partnering with families to teach the importance of manners to live a more gracious and thoughtful life.”
